Cyberduck is an open source application that Libsyn recommends for using FTP. This article walks you through how to set up Cyberduck to connect to Libsyn so you can use it to upload and publish your episodes.

Set up Cyberduck

1. Download and install Cyberduck and then open the program.
2. Click Bookmark and then select New Bookmark in the menu that appears.
3. In the field at the top of the window that opens, select FTP-SSL.
4. Enter the following information in the rest of the fields:

   Nickname	Enter Libsyn FTP, or whatever you want to call your connection.
   Server	Enter ftp-lax.libsyn.com
   Port	Cyberduck might automatically fill this information in for you. If it doesn't, enter either 21 or 990.
   Username	Enter the email address you use to sign in to Libsyn.
   Password	Enter the FTP password that you created. Note that this password is not the same password you use to log in to Libsyn.

5. Click the red X.

You are now ready to connect to your Libsyn account use FTP to upload and publish your episodes.

Connect Cyberduck to Your Libsyn Account

To connect to your Libsyn account whenever you open Cyberduck, double-click the Libsyn FTP bookmark (or whatever you named your connection) in the main Cyberduck window, as shown in the image below.

When you're connected, Cyberduck provides access to the folders and subfolders you can use to upload and publish episodes, or to upload other materials. For more information about how to use those folders, see Use FTP to Upload or Publish Your Episodes.
