Before you can host and distribute a podcast with Libsyn, you must sign up for a hosting account.
To create a new podcast:
- Log in to Libsyn 5.
- Navigate to the Add New Show page.
- If you do not have a Libsyn podcast yet, you'll be automatically redirected to the Add New Show page.
- If you already have at least one Libsyn podcast and want to add another for the same login, see Add Another Podcast to Your Libsyn Account.

On the Add New Show page, select one of the following for your initial hosting plan:
Basic Plan $12 billed monthly. You'll be able to:
- Upload 3 hours of new audio content per month.
- Upload approximately 50 hours of new video content per month.
- Access basic statistics.
- Publish video episodes to YouTube.
Advanced Plan $25 billed monthly. You'll be able to:
- Upload 10 hours of new audio content per month.
- Upload approximately 50 hours of new video content per month.
- Access advanced statistics, social promotion tools, and Libsyn Connect.
- Publish and monetize video episodes on Spotify.
Max Plan $150 billed monthly. You'll be able to:
- Upload 55 hours of new audio content per month.
- Upload approximately 50 hours of new video content per month.
- Access all of the features available in the Advanced Plan.
This plan is optimized for high-volume podcast publishing.

On the Checkout page, complete the following fields:
First Name You must enter a first name. Last Name You must enter a last name. Company Optionally, you can enter a company name. Billing Location Lookup Start typing an address, and select the correct address from the list that displays. This will autocomplete the address fields below. Billing Address You must enter a billing street address. Suite/Apt Enter a suite or apartment number if applicable. City You must enter a billing city. State You must enter a billing state. Postal Code You must enter a billing postal code. If you do not have a billing postal code, enter 00000 (five zeros). Country You must select a billing country.
VAT/GST Number (Field displays when you select an applicable country.) You can enter a Value-Added Tax or Goods and Services Tax number, if you have one.
Payment Method Nickname Give a nickname to the payment method you entered. Payment Method Select one of the following:
- New Credit Card - Libsyn accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, UnionPay, and UCB. Enter your 16-digit credit card number, the expiration date in MM/YY format, and the CVV number found on the back of your card.
- New ACH (US Only) - Enter your US bank account name, account type, routing number, and account number.
- New PayPal - You will be prompted to validate your PayPal information after you click Pay Now.
Make This My 'Primary' Payment Method Select this check box if you want this to be your default payment method. Make This My 'Backup' Payment Method Select this check box if you want this to be your backup payment method. If your primary payment method fails to process a charge, your backup payment method will then be used to attempt to process the charge. Promo Code You can enter a promo code if you have one.
- If the code is valid, the details of the offer display below the field.
- If the code is only valid for specific plans, an error displays informing you which plans can be used with this promo.
Cloudflare Verification Box Libsyn uses Cloudflare Turnstile as a verification tool.
- Select the Verify you are human check box if it displays.
- After Cloudflare has finished verifying that you are a real web visitor and not a bot, the Cloudflare verification box displays:

Click Pay Now. If you are a first time creator, your first month will be free. If you are not, you will be immediately billed the full cost of your subscription.
Note
When you open a new podcast, you will get billed monthly on the same day your show was initially activated. For example, if you create a podcast on April 19th, that show’s billing will renew on the 19th day of each month.
- Next, you'll be prompted to either set up your podcast or import your existing podcast.
