A key part of publishing an episode is uploading the media file that contains it. There are two quick ways to do so.
a. | Click the Click or Drag New Media File button in the Update Media section. In the window that opens, navigate to the file you want to upload and then double-click it. |
b. | Find the file you want on your computer, and then click and drag it to the Click or Drag New Media File button. When you let go of the mouse button, the upload begins. |
After you perform either of these options, a status bar appears at the top of the Episode Details form that shows the progress of the upload. When the upload is complete, the file appears in the Update Media section and a player appears above it. To preview the file you’ve uploaded, click the button on the player.
Other Ways of Uploading Episodes
In addition to uploading files using the Update Media section as outlined above, you also have other ways of uploading an episode, such as by using FTP.
If you previously uploaded a file to Libsyn using an alternate method, you can now select it and enter information for it. To do so, click Already uploaded your file? Click here to select a file and select the file you want to publish in the window that opens. The file you select appears in the Update Media section, and you can enter all pertinent episode details using the fields on the left, including the episode title, description, and more.
