A key part of publishing an episode is uploading the media file that contains it.
If you previously uploaded a file to Libsyn that has not been released, you can select it and enter information for it. To do so:
- In the Add Episode form, in the New Episode section, click the + Unreleased Media button.
- In the window that opens, select the file you want to publish.
To upload a new media file in the Add Episode form, do one of the following:
a. | Click the Add Media area in the center of the New Episode section. In the window that opens, navigate to the file you want to upload and then double-click it. |
b. | Find the file you want on your computer, and then click and drag it to the Add Media area in the New Episode section. When you let go of the mouse button, the upload begins. |
After you perform either of these options, a gear icon along with the text, “Processing” appears in the center of the New Episode section to indicate that the file is being uploaded. When the upload is complete, a notification appears in the upper-right.
After you have selected or uploaded a file, it appears in the New Episode section as a player.
To preview the file you’ve uploaded, click the button on the player.
Click Replace File to replace the file or Remove to remove it. (You will be able to click Undo Replace or Undo Remove to reverse these actions.)
You can now fill in the details for your episode. See About Your Episode Details.

Note In addition to uploading files using the New Episode section as outlined above, you also have other ways of uploading an episode, such as by using FTP. |
