LibsynPro includes features for quality control, which allows a user to submit an episode for review before it is published.
For the purposes of this discussion, we will refer to the user who creates the episode as the Creator, and the user who approves the episode as the Editor.
Note The ability to approve an episode depends on having the Release Episodes permission. See About the LibsynPro User Roles and Permissions. |
The QC process is as follows:
- A Creator adds an episode and clicks Publish. See Publish an Episode.
- The episode's status changes to QC Awaiting instead of Published or Scheduled. See Publish a Pro Episode.
- An Editor clicks View on an episode with a status of QC Awaiting. See View an Episodes List for Your Pro Network.
- The Episode Details display with a QC banner at the top, and the Editor can review the episode:
- The Editor clicks either Decline or Approve in the banner, and then clicks Yes to confirm.
- When an episode is approved, it is immediately published.
- When an episode is declined, the status changes to QC Declined, which is similar to the Draft status. See Save Your Episode as a Draft to Publish It Later.
- The Creator (or any other user on the network who has the Edit Episodes permission) can then make changes to the episode and click the Publish button again to resubmit the episode to the QC process.
